Although there is an excellent chance that the lender you work for is already approved to participate in the Program, should this not be the case, becoming a CalPERS Approved Loan Officer is simple. For more information, contact your Account Executive.
In order to participate in the Program, mortgage brokers must be sponsored by a CalPERS Participating Wholesale Lender. If you are a mortgage broker, or employed by one, and wish to become involved in the Program, check the rate sheets of the lenders you are approved with. Generally, the Wholesale Lenders who offer the Program to their brokers will show the CalPERS interest rates on the rate sheets. Call them and tell them you wish to participate in the CalPERS Member Home Loan Program.
Mortgage brokers that offer the CalPERS Member Home Loan Program are required to enroll in a training seminar and to comply with all applicable provisions of the CalPERS Member Home Loan Program Participant Guide, including marketing guidelines. The Participant Guide may be obtained from your sponsoring CalPERS Participating Wholesale Lender or on this website. Training is available in your area on an ongoing basis, and soon you can be reaping the benefits of these high quality loans.
